May's Theme

Regardless of potential excitingness, May's theme is Through the Looking Glass by a very narrow margin! The vote was incredibly split this time, so it'll be interesting to see what happens next month. :)

Go crazy with your AUs, guys! And remember to use this post to plot if you'd like to!

Oh, hey, a new theme!

So, I have two ideas for Whitlea: one where she and N switch places (meaning, she is the one being manipulated by Ghetsis and N is the one who stops Team Plasma's plans) and one where she...ah, didn't win when it counted. I'm leaning more towards the "Leader of Team Plasma" scenario.

I am, however, open to more ideas!

I like the first one, personally. XD

Yeah, but there's one problem with it: How do I keep Whitlea recognizable while in N's role? After all, the guy was raised to hate all people for abusing Pokemon, something I can't see Whitlea doing. She's little miss "Everyone has a chance", after all.

And there's still the part where I have to make up a backstory for Team Plasma!Whitlea (who I will call W from here on out). Of course, in canon, N and Ghetsis are implied to not be so related to each other, but I need more details beyond just an implication. Any ideas?

She could be raised with it and still fight against it. She could still have some of the other not-as-nice attitudes while retaining her love of pokemon.

That's a good idea!

Now, as for the backstory, I've worked out that in this AU, W, who was raised by Ghetsis, was kidnapped at a young age after something happened to some of the other kids he tried to raise. One of said kids was N, who was taken in either by Whitlea's mother or maybe even Professor Juniper and raised in Nuvema Town.

...Does it work out?

I think so! But admittedly, I don't really know the canon. So I'm pretty much saying it sounds good because I like the idea of somewhat switching his and Whitlea's situations, and seeing how Whitlea turns out.

Yeah, it's interesting, which is why I considered it in the first place. It would give me a break from playing little miss ball of sunshine and friendship for once, that's for sure.

Fell says she likes non-friendship Whitlea better. :sagenod: XD

Whitlea herself is probably going to throw a brick at me or something. I don't know, bricks and leeks seem to be the weapon of choice among my muses these days for when I screw them over. /sigh what is my life

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-05-06 12:36 pm (UTC)(link)
What'd the leeks ever do to her? D:

[identity profile] whitleas.livejournal.com 2011-05-06 12:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, no. She loves leeks. Uses them as a weapon, even.

She's taught everyone else in my head. Trust me, you do not want a singing robot with mad leek skillz for a muse. Those things are dangerous.

[identity profile] waterfell.livejournal.com 2011-05-06 12:41 pm (UTC)(link)
So they all know leek-fu?

[identity profile] whitleas.livejournal.com 2011-05-06 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep. All of them.

And brick-fu, too.
