Hello, OPN! This is Holmes here, mun of
thatoldthatkind and
mischieving, bringing you yet another alien! Well, alright, she's actually human. Mostly. Though most of you may know Kerrigan as looking like this (aka: The Queen of Blades).
Everyone, meet Sarah Kerrigan from Blizzard Entertainment's StarCraft! For those who have never ever heard of the game, SC is a Real Time Strategy game based in a reality where humanity has spread out amongst the stars and colonized planets. People who have psychic powers, such as Kerrigan here, are recruited into the "Ghost Programs" where they become trained assassins who kill enemies of the current running government, usually not out of will. To make an extremely long story of the first game short: Kerrigan is betrayed by the revolutionary she works for, Arcturus Mengsk, and left to die. Instead she ends up in the hands of the alien bugs known as Zerg and becomes an infested human, known as the Queen of Blades, and controls the Zergs. She spends about six to seven years like this before the events of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.
Kerrigan here is post WoL, meaning she's no longer infested. Well, about 95%-98% non-infested. So she is in this transitional period of finding herself, what's important to her, and being able to make her own decisions without having to worry about people manipulating her. She's also fueled by revenge to kill Mengsk. She's psychic, as stated above, meaning she's telepathic and telekinetic. Mutants, eat your hearts out.
You can find me on AIM at adagiotronica or on plurk at biodigitaljazz if you have any questions :)
