So long, fare well!

So, it's almost been a year for me in this positively wonderful game. Around the second month after it was created, I volunteered to become a mod and was welcomed with open arms. Perhaps I haven't been the most involved mod, here and there-- but you folks, you have been amazing.

Unendingly patient as we sought to resolve issues, to keep up with the applications and turn this place into a nicely oiled machine. Your passions and imaginations are utterly inspiring, and as my very first attempt at modding, I couldn't ask for a more wonderful crowd of people to talk to, play with and keep the ball rolling, here and there.

Now that time has...come to an end. I can no longer support Livejournal as a site, and so I'll be looking at packing my bags, saving my favorite threads, and hopefully wind up on Dream Width, sometime next week.

Thank you all again, for the hundreds of wonderful experiences that you've brought me. Every moment in this game has been an utter delight.

IJ/dreamwidth

I'm just trying to catch up and LJ decides to give us an early coal in our stocking gift.  Thanks?  I hate to see familiar faces go though.  So, I don't know that I'll get much use out of it considering I'm going/staying wherever my gang is (that would be you guys, btw) but I did open up an account over on Dreamwidth.  I'm here.  Feel free to friend me or whatever they call it over there.  I like it less but I also picked up an InsaneJournal account here.  Same applies.

I would give you a gif as is traditional but LJ doesn't seem up to that at the moment.

custom comment pages

I have turned on the custom comment pages on all the accounts associated with OPN (onepassingnight, passinconscious, passingooc, passingmeme, and passingmod).

However, whether a bug or deliberately on LJ's part (as I don't know yet), custom comments are being overridden by the default comment page. For now, until this problem is fixed by whatever LJ has done, you will need to install your own layout. Personally, the ones here and here seem to both work well.

Once you have both installed, you add the phrase '?style=mine' to the end of every url link. There is a bookmarklet that is supposed to help automatically do this for you.
